Mission Statement:
The object of the Boys Brigade is " The advancement of Christ Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness"
Aims/Objectives:
The Boys' Brigade offers a progressive programme to interest and benefit members of all aspects of life.
Age Range:
Anchors 5 - 8
Juniors 8 - 12
Company 12- 15
Seniors 16- 19
Special Interests:
In the Anchor Section the development of awareness of others is encouraged using games, stories music and simple crafts.
The Junior Section has an award scheme based on the areas of adventure, Community, interest, Physical and Spiritual.
The Company Section programme is based on the same five groups, but is more advanced and also includes Leadership.
The seniors are encouraged to take a active leadership role in the BB and work in the community is encouraged through the D of E award scheme and our own Presidents and Queen's Badge awards. Young leaders are encouraged to take an active part in local and national events.

The North and East Essex Battalion cover the area from Colchester, Clacton on sea, Walton on the Naze and surrounding areas.
