Aims/Objectives:
To provide support for young people in emotional distress, through:
Mentoring with trained adult mentors.
Daily after-school drop in.
Transition groups for 12-14 year olds.
Age Range: 11-19
Opening Times:
Monday - Friday: 3.30 p.m. - 5.30 p.m.
Special Interests:
Impact courses e.g. Grub Club, Red Cross "Caring for other people's children"
"Choices" - a grief and separation course.
Girls group.
Southminister drop in.
Smoking Cessation group.
C Card outlet.
Other Relevant Information:
Maldon (Essex) Mind has been a voluntary organisation since 1974. It currently runs 10 projects, some serving all North Essex and Districts. BroSis is its first scheme for young people. It provides advice and support for young people experiencing emotional distress.
