Aims/Objectives:
The aim of The Cirdan Sailing Trust is to provide an opportunity for young people with their leaders, to develop life skills through the challenge and adventure of life at sea, living and working abroad large sailing vessels.
Age Range: 12 years and over.
Special Interests:
whilst we offer our service to youth organisations from across the spectrum, we specialise in working with young people who experience some form of disadvantage in their lives. Life at sea aboard our vessels is a unique and effective way of challenging young people and providing them with an opportunity to develop self awareness and self-confidence, improving their motivation levels, communication and social skills .
Other relevant information:
We operate a fleet of vessels, each with their own character which are based at various ports convenient to the South East for group sizes from 6 to 16 people. Participants should have some degree of mobility and coordination - sorry but we cannot take wheelchair users. Professional sea staff are CRB cleared and all appropriate operating licences and insurances are in place.
