Aims/Objectives:
As the largest youth organisation for girls in the UK today, Girlguiding UK provides a safe, girl-only space for girls and young women to explore the activities, issues and possibilities that are available to them enabling them to develop their potential and make a difference to the world. Allowing young members to develop in an all-female environment makes a positive contribution to their self-confidence and self-esteem. The all-female environment means that girls and women have to take responsibility for making things happen. Leadership skills and self-reliance can be developed without the added pressures of a mixed-gender setting.
Age Range:
Rainbow Guides 5 and over
Brownie Guides 7 and over
Guides 10 and over
Senior Section 14 and over (this includes Rangers, Young Leaders and adult leaders aged under 26)
